Universal Compact Fluorescent Ballasts
Universal Lighting Technology's Triad compact fluorescent ballasts are a perfect installer-friendly piece for your lighting project. Universal voltage input ensures that the correct ballast is always being used and cuts down on inventory costs, while the component's metal case ensures that it meets all plenum and construction codes. These ballasts are ideal for downlight and surface mount applications.
Built into the ballasts are end-of-lamp-life shutdown circuitry with auto restart which meets ANSI and NEMA requirements. This allows failed lamps to be replaced without shutting off power.
The ballasts are also engineered with all temperature critical components situated away from the case sides, allowing the ballasts to be mounted near heat sources without compromising their operation. The specific circuit-board potting also minimizes case temperatures to improve reliability.
All universal voltage CFL ballasts feature a programmed rapid start technology which optimizes lamp life even in heavily switched applications like those employing occupancy sensors.
Universal's C213, C218, C242, and C2642 ballasts run 3, 4, and multi-lamp networks, while ballasts with BE and BES in their part number are ideal for downlight applications and those with ME and MES are ideal for scones, ceiling, and outdoor fixtures.
