Universal Lighting Technologies
Universal Lighting Technologies has a long tradition of making cutting-edge high-efficiency lighting products, backed by industry-leading customer service. The company builds control systems, ballasts, LED lighting elements, and compact, linear, and U-bend fluorescent components.
The progeny of two legendary companies, Universal Lighting Technologies was born when Triad-Utrad and Universal merged in 1984. Since 1943, Triad-Utrad had built their reputation on engineering prowess following their launch of the first electronic ballasts.
Universal was known throughout the industry for their customer service and even went so far as to form the Technical Engineering Services – a branch of the company specifically developed for trouble shooting and custom engineering.
In 2007 Universal Lighting Technologies joined the Panasonic family, allowing the two companies to share R&D findings as well as North American production facilities.
While Universal Lighting Technologies stands on a strong history of customer service and engineering achievements, they're not content to look backwards. Their 97 patents, 8 billion dollars in annual sales, and support from one of the largest electronics brands in the world means Universal Lighting Technologies will be innovating and building products long into the future.
